Dear donors!
We are happy to inform you that our donation centre for plasma donations* remains open. We are all experiencing a very challenging time. The current situation around COVID-19 has again confirmed to us how important and irreplaceable your plasma donations are. Right now, human plasma is urgently needed to produce life-saving drugs for patients. There is a risk of a shortage of plasma-based drugs in a few months. For this reason we ask you to continue donating plasma. You are making a valuable contribution to the continuous care of patients.
We can understand that you are concerned about COVID-19. We have very high standards of protective measures, because your safety and health, as well as the safety and health of our employees, is our highest priority.
!! We are now temporarily open on the following days !!
Tuesday 09:00 - 18:00, last donation at 17:00
Friday 09:00 - 18:00, last donation at 17:00
We appreciate your willingness to donate plasma and ask you to follow these guidelines:
We will be glad to answer all further questions and provide information on the increased protection measures directly at the centre. You can arrange your appointments by phone, online or via Savelives App.
We are urgently looking for COVID-19 recovered persons for plasma donations! If you are recovered after your COVID-19 illness, please call our donation centre to make an appointment. You must be symptom-free for 28 days. Then please bring proof of a corona infection to your initial examination.
It is known from previous virus epidemics that antibodies are formed in the blood of healthy people which can fight the infection. These antibodies cannot be produced artificially, but only from the plasma of recovered patients. The purpose of collecting this hyperimmune plasma is to obtain a hyperimmune globulin Anti-SARS-CoV2. The aim is to develop a hyperimmunoglobulin drug from it, which is able to cure patients affected by COVID-19. This drug is currently being tested in clinical trials.
Become a pioneer in the fight against the corona virus and support research into the treatment of COVID-19!
Europlasma with its parent company LFB in France are part of the Plasma-Alliance CoVIg-19, which is working with world-leading plasma companies to develop an anti-SARS CoV-2 hyperimmune globulin drug with the potential to treat patients at risk of serious complications from COVID-19.
Europlasma, LFB, Biotest, BPL, Octapharma, CSL Behring and Takeda have formed the CoVIg-19 Plasma Alliance to jointly develop a plasma-based, brand-independent therapy rather than pursuing individual programs.
The companies are plasma-derived therapies manufacturers with plasma collection centers that have extensive experience in the discovery, development and production of these vital, life-saving and life-sustaining treatments.
